Vernon Hills, Ill., March 23, 2006 – Baxter Credit Union announced that it has added an attractive rewards program to its debit card portfolio. Members will earn one point for every $2 in spending for signature-based debit card transactions. Awards points from Baxter Credit Union’s credit cards and debit cards can be combined, which allows members to quickly reach the point levels required for valuable merchandise and travel awards.

The credit union contracts with PSCU Financial Services to provide CURewardsTM for its debit and credit cardholders. The CURewards program allows members to redeem points for more than 500 merchandise and travel awards including big-screen TVs and other electronics, appliances, and national and international travel packages.

Baxter Credit Union is promoting its “Supercharged” VISA Check Card to its members through statement inserts, newsletter articles, direct mail letters and its web site. Its slogan is: “Works like a check and earns points like a credit card.”

“Our debit and credit card programs are always extremely competitive, but offering a reward program for debit and the ability to link debit and credit rewards points makes our offering exceptional. We expect this innovative offer will attract new members and benefit existing members as well,” said Michael G. Valentine, President and CEO, Baxter Credit Union.
