Baxter Credit Union launches community sponsorship program at Crystal Lake service center

June 18, 2007Crystal Lake, ILOn Tuesday, May 29th BCU (Baxter Credit Union), a not-for-profit credit union open for membership to all residents and employees in McHenry County, hosted a Mixer for both the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce and the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce at its Crystal Lake Service Center.
The Mixer brought 140 people together to kick off the credit unions Community Sponsorship Program, a program featuring local organizations each month that contribute to the community, either through charitable work or through support of local youth, education or arts programs. BCU made a monetary contribution to each of the featured organizations and highlighted them with in-branch promotional materials throughout the month.
Another feature of the Community Sponsorship Program is preferred discounts with local businesses made available exclusively for BCU Members. By showing a BCU Card, members will receive valuable discounts with many of their favorite local retailers and service providers.
